Capital Campaign

Ballet of York County, a 501.c3 nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, was formed to continue a tradition of artistic excellence and community arts education that began in 1978. York County Ballet was forced to dissolve when The School of Ballet closed due to the pandemic. Classical ballet education and arts performance have been a part of the fabric of York County for more than four decades.

BYC is a ballet school as well as a performing company. Our mission is simple- to promote, advance, and encourage the art of classical ballet and dance through education, appreciation and performance in the area of York County, South Carolina.

We are launching a one-time capital campaign to raise funding for necessary assets- sprung dance floors built t0 nationally recognized standards, wall mirrors and ballet barres, which are all integral for proper instruction and safety of students.

A generous family has offered to match the first $10,000.00 donated to the capital campaign by March 31, 2021 increasing the impact of donations.
