For more than 20 years Mrs. Cooper has been a familiar face at York County Ballet as a teacher, choreographer, costumer, and board treasurer. Prior to the closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, she was named Financial and Operations manager of YCB. In her spare time, she can be found riding her horse and volunteering at various Anne Springs Close Greenway Equestrian programs.

“I can’t imagine my life without ballet. Even in the times that I couldn’t dance I have always been a dancer and always will be. The power of art brings people together in such amazing ways. Art is vital to our community and every community, especially during such difficult times. If I can be a part of bringing the joy of ballet to others, I will be sharing the joy that has been in my heart for so very many years.”
